Writing to Argue Final

is modern society breaking down?

Imagine. Imagine a conversation without listening. Imagine a relationship with no love, where we cannot express emotion if money and power is not obtained, a society that is being manipulated by the government and there is no way out of these rigid walls limiting our freedom.  Don’t you think so? That we are being tied by our legs and we’re not able to spread our wings and be free as a majestic eagle? We must not listen to these malicious politicians because we are affecting ourselves through greed and not being sympathetic to those in need.

In our modern society with its internet, it’s reality TV and it’s advanced technology, there are new problems that we must face that continues to bring down our society.

The greatest of our problems is money due to the fact that we’ve enabled our government in the UK to manipulate our trust in them against us through corruption.Money is dark, it’s dangerous, once its found there’s no way to escape. Throughout history money has lead to greed , murder and conflict. In this modern society with more money than ever, we have seen more greed than ever, more murder than ever and more conflict than ever. Lie and more lies have been told to us by the government. Such as David Cameron announced that they were paying Britain’s debt, this turned out to be a lie. Money leads to people destroying what they have built with their hearts and mind. Families and friendships cannot withstand the destructive power of money. So wake up people, smell the roses, make yourself aware of this danger in our society!

Greed came to the world through money. The devil lies inside each dollar, each pound, each yen, haunting us without us knowing. We have so much money in this world yet we can’t spare a small proportion of it for our brothers? Why not help one another? There are 185,000 homeless people living in the streets hungry, not knowing if somebody’s out there to love them, why not love each other? There has been inequality in this world since the day money was introduced to us, the UK and the United states of America spent £530 Billion on the war in Iraq. Clearly, the rich have money to fight with each other but can’t help the poor dying of starvation. Society has been shattered like broken glass. It is crumbling down.

America was a victim of a catastrophe. When the Twin Towers were destroyed by terrorists, America pledged to fight back. They marched into Iraq, shooting down Saddan Hussein and his troops. The mission was apparently complete, but something caught the eye of the American government, leading them down the road to greed and disaster . The oil hidden far underground has lead to a continuation of the vicious war. America has attacked Iraq for the past 10 years, killing 116,000 civilians. This action happened because we as society weren’t awake to the threat of greed, money and power dominating our minds. This simple action led to 116,000 horrible consequences;Innocent lives were lost. It’s not just in the UK where society is breaking down, its occurring all around the world including America.

British society is crumbling because of the loss of our trust. We’ve been manipulated by our government enslaving us to pay higher taxes. but not to achieve our own goals. I live in the UK, a society in which these power hungry politicians squeeze the juice out of us. That’s right, we’re lead by power hungry machines. We as citizens of the UK fall for their devious and malicious ideas hidden within their deliberately confusing talk of statistics that are only intended to hold us at arms length away from the truth. Our government has allowed incredibly high prices I for rent and house prices, every year it seems that the rent increases weekly price, this has lead people to become homeless all over Britain due to the fact the government’s technique to drain the juice out of us, all our efforts, hard work is being drained out of us like it’s nothing. The government are possessed by money, the more they have the more they want. This has influences us to become possessive and has lead us to turn our backs on the poor. This is why our society is decaying.

Money is the filter of sympathy. The rich and the government laughs at us, they mock us like a mocking bird. Contrastingly there are those who aren’t intimidated by money, who know how not to let money manipulate them, who have money but are self centred in what they believe. Bill Gates, the richest man the planet once announced his will of leaving 90% of his earnings, around 50 billion dollars on to charity after his death and not his children. This is evident that our society still has a chance to survive as Bill Gates is a man with power and with heart to help the poor.

In conclusion to my point, I believe our love for money has taken over us and made us into addicted power hungry machines, that do not respect those who are weaker than us. We have given those with a lower wage a lower status, causing us to be the reason why our society is corrupt. This has caused us to be distant from each other and unsympathetic to the plight of others, even though we were all born on this planet . We should all live in peace and become more reconciled with each other.

writing to Describe Final piece

It was dark and gloomy as I opened my eyes to get a glance at my surrounding. It was so dark I couldn’t see the ground. It was almost like I was hovering within a black hole where the light was bent and could not be reflected. My mind could not cope with the silence and the darkness. Confusion rose in me.

I took a deep breath, but a strong and aggressive stench that attacked my nostrils.  ”Argh”, I complained.  The smell was horrendously disturbing. It smelt like corroded metal and wet old wood. My instant reaction was to rotate my head to the left side of my shoulder, away from the hideous smell. This ended up not being the solution because the stench was following my nose in the direction I drove it. There was no solution but to accommodate myself to these circumstances. I felt unconscious and limited with my awareness of my surrounding.  I felt light as a feather; and I could not feel the contractions of my arms. I forced movement in my arms and my legs to stretch and release the stress. But  I could not obtain a response from my nerves. I soon was aware that I couldn’t move because I felt friction in my legs and arms once I tried to move. Frustrated,  anxious. Soon the rage of testosterone rose through my body,  becoming aggressive. I tried moving in despair as it was my only option.  Without warning a massive force grew behind my head pulling me backward, It felt like I was losing balance because a force grew behind me as I moved. I soon felt the surface of the ground as my head banged against it and became sore. My legs were numb and I wasn’t able to detect any motion in my body.

”BANG”, the unseen door swung open and a ray of light illuminated my surrounding.  A dark shadow passed in between the source of the light only allowing a proportion of it to enter the door frame. Soon I heard a ”click” just after the bright light was shown inside the room. It was a light switch that was turned on. An immense black man around 35 years of age, with big abdominal muscles and with massive veined muscular arms approached me. A woman and a man followed his steps as if they were stepping in a field of mines. The light that shone upon my eyes interrupted my vision. I had difficulty in coordinating every movement that they took as they approached me. My eyes accommodated to the bright light. Once I obtained sight of the scene, I discovered what was going on. The immense force that had ahold of my body was gravity. I was in a massive room where all types of machinery were kept. I grew discontent in the situation I was in. ”Where is it”, shouted angrily the black man. ”I don’t know what your talking about”, I pleaded for a response. ”Listen, you tell me now or you’re going to get it for sure”. He aggressively replied.”Please! Release me, I don’t know what your talking about, I’m innocent”. I answered petrified. My response seemed futile towards and aggravated the situation. His veins popped viciously increasing size. This was evident that I was driving his patience. He walked 5 metres, I followed him by rotating my head towards the direction he was approaching. I saw him grabbing an object. My field of vision was still fuzzy due to the brightness of the bulb. The image of the man became bigger meaning he was approaching closer to me. Approaching closer to me it became clear that the object was a lethal weapon. It was a baseball bat with thick copper spikes attached to it. My heart rapidly started racing in despair. I could feel my heart in my hand.

”NO NO NO PLEASE”, I wailed loudly. He viciously shouted at the other two callous people. ” hold him”. He lifted the lethal weapon above my head and with full force he hit me with on my cranium.  Blood rushed down my overlapping my tears.  But at a sudden moment I felt no pain. Through my vision white light illuminated and at that present moment I could see my past fading away into the distance, I lost consciousness of all my senses, I could feel like I disconnected myself from my body.I could see my spirit being lifted up and could not feel the force pulling me down onto the ground. I knew it was my end as I lost the sense of my heartbeat pounding against my chest.

Writing to respond Final piece

Dear Samantha Taylor,

I am composing this letter to give my own point of view suggesting why teenagers should not be doubted upon social media, due to the fact that this article is implying that teenagers are intoxicated with certain social media sites such as facebook, and how social media might affect teenagers social life.I felt it was important to write this letter because I agree with your statement that all of these negative portrayals that people like John Henley imply about teenager such as young people post information about themselves online that petrifies their elders, and don’t care about their privacy. I comprehend that newspapers only comment on a small proportion of incidents that have occurred but claim that it is how all teenagers behave online.

Most people from older generations believe that social media site are what is preventing teenagers from commencing meaningful relationship. In your report, Jonathan franzen stated that social media sites make it harder for us teenagers to distinguish between the relationships we harbour in the real world and in the cyber world. Jonathan Franzen is trying to emphasise that social media sites such as Facebook and Instagram have kept teenagers from the reality of our natural interaction without having a screen in between us. But also that teenagers might get mixed into relationships with no connectivity in terms of emotions because of a screen being in between them. I totally disagree with Jonathan Franzen’s point because I see the total opposite of what he’s implying.I believe that social media sites have actually enabled not just teenagers, but people of all ages to communicate with certain siblings who are distant from each other, maybe living in another country to reunite as a family by staying in contact. Jonathan Franzen also expresses his frustration that younger generations who are stuck on social media.’’countless hours glued to Facebook’’ ,he phrases that us teenagers are possessed. I totally disagree with Jonathan Franzen. Digital technology has been introduced to younger generations, they are completely innocent and those who do stick themselves to computer screens have not been educated in which the blame is carried towards their parents who do not know how to control and educate their children about what is right and what is wrong.

People in older generations believe that digital technology has slowed the development of younger generations to craft themselves into professionals and enable them mature into adults. American comedian Louis CK stated that he disagreed with the fact of giving his daughters mobile phones because that might not ‘’develop empathy’’. I disagree with his statement because I proclaim that us being introduced digital technology have allowed us to  obtain news and events that have happened around the world, such as in Africa people dying due to the lack of water and resources they had that was causing this catastrophe. This encounter enabled us to create charities such as UCIF , an  online  charity where we could donate money and help out people in Africa dying of thirst and hunger. In addition to my point, Louis CK won’t be able to maintain communication with his daughters if they are not given some type of digital where they could communicate.

In conclusion, Samantha is totally correct, teenagers are being victimised eventhough they don’t have the blame. The fact is that digital technology had changed our world, we have been enabled  to communicate, evidently now we’re able to communicate to certain siblings or family members abroad using digital technology. And also to keep ourselves notified of our children being safe when going out with friends. And those to blame are those in the older generations that have introduced us to digital technology have the blame for those who really have been possessed by digital technology.  This

Sincerely Juan Paredes
